Storm is a girl with very little confidence. Her older brother is good at everything in school and is even head boy. One day at school, however, Storm finds out she is really good at running and becomes a star athlete. This doesn’t sort all her problems though and she discovers being known by everyone and the best at something comes with its own pressures and problems.

I think the plot of this book is good and I could relate to Storm, however, the narrative was a little too busy for me. There is constant action, so much information and the story jumps from scene to scene without warning or explanation. Consequently, I found it difficult to follow and couldn’t get into it. I actually found it quite hard to read.

I think this novel is good for those who like a story with lots of detail to take in that moves swiftly from one part to another. Unfortunately, that isn’t me. I prefer a more defined narrative.
