It's got so many amazing plot twists and drama points
This is the second book in the fantasy series Paper Dragons, following Zhi Ging and her friends in their school in Hok Woh.
She is learning how to be a Cyo’Bahon, a protector of the four realms, however, she is more powerful than she thinks.
I read the first book The Fight for the Hidden Realm, and really enjoyed it. This book is even better as it has so many twists and turns and a lot of points where I was genuinely surprised. Zhi Ging learns a lot about herself, including what she really is.
I loved this book. It’s got so many amazing plot twists and drama points. I also like how the chapters are short so you can get through them easily and quickly.
The way the drama in the plot builds is really good. I like a feeling of suspense when reading and this always had me thinking “what’s going to happen next?”.
I really hope there will be a book 3 as I’m dying to know more.
I don’t really have anything to criticise because this was such a fun read.
I would definitely recommend reading it if you want a story with some suspense, action, drama and magic.
About the Book
Following the infiltration of Hok Woh and possession of her friends, Zhi Ging sets out on a dangerous mission to find Reishi, the Silhouette Scout, whom she believes has been lured into a dangerous trap.
With her adorable now-phoenix Malo by her side, Zhi Ging must fight off dangerous sand spirits, power-hungry enemies and magnificent dragons if she is to save her friends and her new home in the world of the immortals.
But as secrets are uncovered and new enemies emerge, can Zhi Ging figure out who to trust? And, more importantly, how to survive?

Siobhan McDermott
Siobhan McDermott was born in Hong Kong and grew up on a steady stream of stories filled with Chinese legends and Irish folklore. She now lives in the UK and continues to order dim sum in Cantonese tinged with a distinctly Dublin lilt. The Paper Dragons series is inspired by moments across her life: from childhood ferry trips between Lantau Island and Hong Kong, to traveling around Taiwan, Italy and Spain.
