Book Review

I would recommend Neverlast to anyone who enjoys fantasy, mystery and adventure books

Neverlast is about Gracie, a girl whose family has a secret. They don’t get sick and live for thousands of years. But in their community, the secret is carefully protected, and she has grown up believing she is just like them.

Then an accident changes everything. For the first time, Gracie’s discovers that her body doesn’t heal the way theirs does. A brown bone stays broken. A wound leaves a scar. And worst of all, she learns that she isn’t going to live forever. Whilst the people she loves has centuries ahead of them, Gracie has an ordinary mortal lifespan.

For a final thrill, she is allowed to go on one last adventure with her immortal friends. But a quick trip to London turns into Paris and New York and even more secrets come to light.

Overall, I loved this book. I love the characters, the plot, and the writing. Every time I finished a chapter I had to keep on reading more. I would recommend Neverlast to anyone who enjoys fantasy, mystery and adventure books.

About the Book

Her family are abnormally long-lived, resilient and fast-healing. But, it turns out, Gracie is mortal, which means she’s vulnerable. When the truth emerges, her immortal boyfriend Arty dumps her.

Even worse, while her invincible peers embrace pulse-pounding extreme sports, Gracie’s parents prepare to wrap her in cotton wool.

Permitted ‘one last adventure’, Gracie heads on an international trip with her friends – though her hard-to-read ex, Arty, ends up joining them.

And, as they reach New York, things take a dark turn. Arty is hiding a dangerous secret that threatens to expose the whole Perpetual community.Could Gracie, a mortal girl, be the key to saving them all?
