I loved the realistic human emotions and thoughts in this book, which really brought the characters to life. This is one of those books that is a real page-turner, but you are sorry to see it end. I loved how the author’s personality has not been lost in this story.
Although the original fairy tale is recognisable, the author has made it her own and created a unique set of characters and places that you become very familiar with, and even grow to love.
This story is packed full of vivid descriptions, unexpected plot twists and characters with really well thought-out and distinct personalities. I would recommend this book to 12-15 year olds, as well as young adults.
