Evenfall – The Tempest Stone Written by Alexander Armstrong. Reviewed by Lilyana, Age 11

I loved this book. I don’t often chose to read books like these however I am so pleased I read this one. It is different and really interesting.

I think this book should be aimed for ages 9+.

This book is about determination, trust and never giving up. Sam lost his mum in an accident due to a mountain collapsing because of evil Georgie. Georgie stole the tempest blade and created a virus that could wipe out the whole world! Sam is working with his friends to carefully take the blade back and stop Georgie from killing the world, even if it means his precious Uncle Jimmy has to suffer.

It is hard to let people go but sometimes we just have to accept it no matter how hard it is. I liked that there were a few pictures, art isn’t an interest of mine normally, however, the pictures in this book were really cool and I was inspired to draw them myself.

I also liked that the chapters were from different points of view so I knew what was happening instead of just getting to the main point and being really confused.

I hope everyone who reads this book understands the message that keep on going and don’t give up. If you don’t try, you won’t succeed.
