I really recommend this book to people who enjoy thinking about both sides of a story and love a good mystery
‘Best of All Worlds’ is truly an extraordinary read. The main character, Zay and his family get trapped inside a mysterious dome on their way to a weekend trip to their countryside cottage.
Three years later, when another family—also with two kids—arrives, everyone is left speechless. Zay’s stepmom, Nia, and his dad believe they were abducted by aliens, while the new family is convinced it’s all part of a secret government plot. Zay finds himself caught between two families—and two completely different sides.
Even though he’s not sure what to believe, he knows one thing: he’s found a possible way out. Zay decides to help Mackenzie’s dad, Riley, build a balloon to escape the dome. Even though Riley was once under investigation for murder and Zay isn’t sure it’s a good idea, he goes up anyway. You’ll have to read the book to find out what happens!!
About the Book
When Xavier wakes up on the first morning of an enforced family weekend away with his pregnant stepmum and dad, he doesn’t recognise where they are – it’s as if the house has inexplicably been transported to the set of a video game, inside an impenetrable dome where the family have been ‘donated’ chickens, goats, wheat to help them survive.
In the confines of this strange world, Xavier and new arrival, Mackenzie are thrown together, Mackenzie’s erratic father Riley becomes obsessively fixated on escape, and tensions between the two families begin to rise with devastating and tragic consequences…
