I would recommend this to someone who enjoys reading diary-style books
This story is about a boy called Danny who is having bad family problems and friendship problems and how he navigates his life as a teenage boy in Scotland.
My favourite character is Ava as she is so kind and makes sure everyone around her is happy.
The storyline is built around how bad mental health can be for teenagers, especially those who have somewhat dysfunctional families.
The opening paragraph gives an insight on Danny (the main character) and how he thinks. The ending was happy as Danny finally gets together with the girl he loves.
I would recommend this to someone who enjoys reading diary-style books.

Fifteen-year-old Danny is embarrassed by his dad’s affairs, worried about his mum’s drinking and puzzled by his grandfather sleeping in the shed.
He’s scared the gang will find out what he did last summer, and despairs of ever getting a girlfriend. Meanwhile, the coolest girl in school is taking a surprising interest in him.
Will Danny survive his summer holidays?
