It had us laughing and singing together which was a nice way to bond over a book

Adam was attracted to the repetition of the rhyme and it had us laughing and singing together which was a nice way to bond with my youngest child over a book.
The large and colourful pictures were perfect too and all the food was exciting for an ever hungry toddler.
The story content is great for young children and very relatable.
The book addresses the complex and important themes of overcoming fears and friendship in a child friendly way.
It provided a good starting point for a family discussion about how this applies to our lives.
About the Book
This brightly coloured, glossy picture book is a beacon to young children who will enjoy the rhyme and repetition in the story and foodie pictures.
The story has a message about it being okay (and entirely normal) to feel apprehensive sometimes.
“wibble wobble, wibble wobble, Jelly on a plate”
When Jelly is entered into the ‘Best Food Competition’, it makes him wobble with worry. Everyone loves chicken nuggets and pizza – but does everyone love jelly?
He’s worried he won’t be popular. But Jelly learns that the things that make us different should be celebrated… and that it’s definitely OK to have a wobble every now and then.

Tom Knight is an English children’s book illustrator (and sometimes author) from the east coast of England, who originally worked as a graphic designer before switching to full-time illustration. He has illustrated many books for publishers and is the author-illustrator of his own series, including 'Good Knight, Bad Knight'.
