Mummy: This book starts like a normal book about a beach holiday and then takes a surrealistic turn, which the boys found extremely funny. The pictures are vibrant with plenty to look at.

David Tazzyman is an internationally acclaimed British illustrator and children’s book creator who first entered publishing in 2006, gaining recognition for illustrating Andy Stanton’s Mr Gum series, which helped win the inaugural Roald Dahl Funny Prize. Since then he has brought to life numerous picture and fiction books with his lively, humorous artwork and now works full‑time in children’s publishing. Born and raised in Leicester, he trained at Manchester Metropolitan University and lives in Leicestershire
