Laurence says: The stories were really clever and I liked the pictures. My favourite character was Fred the Ferret because he is funny and silly. My older brother liked near the end of the stories when everything is revealed because that’s the bit when you can link the dots in your head.
Mum says: This book really appealed to Laurence – he didn’t want us to stop reading. Each of the three chapters was a separate detective story with the same main characters – each sufficiently silly and convoluted to hold both Laurence’s attention and that of his eight year old brother, who also enjoyed listening in.
