I like that the book starts in the morning, goes through the day and finishes at night time
I really liked this book. I enjoyed spotting and counting the animals. I like the salmon the best! I think the pictures are amazing.

There are some interesting facts at the back.
I think other children who like nature will love this book.
About the Book
The Secret Forest is a beautifully illustrated story that will take a reader and young child on a wonderful journey through peaceful woodlands. On every page there are interesting Nature facts and things to look out for.
Beginning at first light with a young fawn and his mum, you’ll meet foxes and butterflies, bears and bees, squirrels and birds galore – all before sun sets again and the moon rises over the trees as the night-time creatures come out to play. What else will you find?

Sandra Dieckmann is a German-born illustrator, author and maker, celebrated for her colourful, patterned depictions of nature, wildlife and dreams. Her picture books, including 'Leaf' and 'Waiting for Wolf', have earned her nominations for major children’s literature awards, and she now lives and works in the UK.
