The pictures were my favourite bit, I loved everbodys cool hats
This book was a thumbs up! It was funny but I’m glad the tortoise is OK.
The pictures were my favourite bit, I loved everbodys cool hats.
My favourite character was the armadillo because is is clever to know where it is safe and good, and he is very friendly too.
I liked that the whole story is the characters talking (dialogue).
My favourite part was when the monster got squashed because he was a bad guy. He made a fire and it’s not good to burn flowers.
Overall, this was a really good book with really nice pictures which everyone will enjoy reading.
Mum’s thoughts: We really enjoyed the story, it is unusual but a good read.

From award-winning author and illustrator Jon Klassen is a beautiful and amusing, yet strangely disturbing book about two creatures and their efforts to find the right place to be.
Turtle really likes standing in his favourite spot. He likes it so much that he asks his friend Armadillo to come over and stand in it, too. But now that Armadillo is standing in that spot, he has a bad feeling about it… This is a book that certainly promotes contemplation!
