Ivan – This book is about how you’re the only one just like you. It made me feel a little bit sad on some pages, but then happy. I like the pictures because they’re funny even when the words aren’t.
Mummy: A feel good story that beautifully captures how it can feel to be the only you in a big universe but then turns it into a comforting, lovely thing.

Shane Hegarty
Shane Hegarty is an Irish children’s author best known for his imaginative middle‑grade and younger reader series such as Darkmouth and Boot, with his books translated into over 20 languages and shortlisted for awards like the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and the Sainsbury’s Children’s Book Awards.Before becoming a full‑time writer, he worked as a journalist and editor at The Irish Times. He lives on the east coast of Ireland and is active in literary festivals and events for young readers.
Illustrator
Ben Mantle
Ben Mantle is a British children’s book illustrator and author born in Leamington Spa, England, who studied Animation at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design and worked in animation before focusing on books in 2008. He is known for his lively, expressive artwork in titles such as The Best Birthday Present Ever!, Bunnies on the Bus, and many other picture and fiction books for young readers, and he has illustrated award‑winning works like Callum’s Incredible Construction Kit. Mantle lives and works in Brighton, where he also creates screen prints and digital art alongside his book illustration career
