Book Review

I really enjoyed reading this with my Mummy at bedtime because it’s a great book I love stories with dogs in

Edith says: I really loved this book because it’s about a dog and a girl and how they are good friends. I loved that the dog is like a real person and not a dog she wants a part in the show too, it’s sad when the dog doesn’t get the part she wants but it was great when the part came up she didn’t take it because she wanted to be with her friend and had such good fun. I really enjoyed reading this with my Mummy at bedtime because it’s a great book and I love stories with dogs in.

I enjoyed looking at the pictures and found them really colourful and fun just like the story.

Mum’s comments: I just wanted to say from my perspective on the above book even though this book is Christmassy it will be added to our all year round book collection as Edith didn’t really understand the nutcracker was a Christmas show.

I have to agree with Edith the artwork was great and really reflected the story and when we read the story Edith enjoyed the the pictures and really brought it to life for her, she laughed out loud so much during the story.

About the Book

My dog is not like other dogs. My dog is a ballerina who dreams of being the Sugar Plum Fairy.
So when Miss Polly announces the parts in our Christmas show, The Nutcracker, will my dog’s dream come true? Or will we both just be… bonbons?

A festive story written by Anna Kemp.
