The stars on their book cover made me want to read it
From Jacob: I really like all the animals in the book. My favourite parts were when they went up and down and around and then looked high and low and – it doesn’t say it in the book but- mouse also looks across the page. I also liked it when [SPOILER ALERT] the dog and mouse found out that they liked the same book. The stars on their book cover made me want to read it too.
From Jacob’s Mum: A great book for transitioning from bouncing around to bedtime. Repetition of words, “Scurry, scurry, scurry…” and the gentle animal characters make it a lovely read with a narrative that young children can quickly latch onto. The animal friendships were something that Jacob warmed to immediately and the illustrations are simple and charming.

This is a simple story written by S. Marendaz and illustrated by Carly Gledhill is perfect for snuggling up and reading with little ones at bedtime.
It’s a cool, still night in the garden, but Mouse is not asleep. Someone has taken her bedtime book! Where could it be? And how will she possibly sleep without it?
