Super Me Reviewed by Zaki, Age 6

I like the picture of the Dad lifting the boy up into the air on the front cover, if you covered the Dad’s arms it looks like the boy is flying which is really cool.

I like the picture of the boy doing a handstand and splits on the sofa. But if this was real it would be dangerous because he could have fallen off and the Dad is just relaxing with a cup of tea. The picture of the teddy hanging off the boy’s sock is funny.

I really like this story because the boy is looking for superheroes, but he can’t find any and then he realises the power is inside you. First he didn’t think he was a super hero but you just need to believe in yourself that you are a super hero and just keep trying.

I liked that the boy and his Dad went on an adventure and they climbed the tallest building but there was no sign of super heroes anywhere. I like that the boy was caring for his Dad, he let him have his drink and use the blanket and the dad helped the boy cross some rocks.

I liked it when the Dad said there are super heroes all around.
This book makes me think I am good at lots of things like running, football and kickboxing.

I am good at sharing, kind, thoughtful, good at using my initiative and that makes me ‘super me’. I will take this book to school to share with my class so they know they are super heroes too.
