I liked seeing all the different faces they pulled as well as looking at all the other sea creatures
Laurie:
I really loved this book! The pictures are so bright and colourful, and there was lots to look at on every page. I liked that the writing was big and bold because it made it easy to follow along when we were reading together. The Seahorse made me laugh, and I liked seeing all the different faces they pulled as well as looking at all the other sea creatures.
Mum:
This has quickly become one of our favourite bedtime books. I read it with my two-year-old, and I was pleasantly surprised by how naturally it introduced the topic of feelings. It gave us a lovely opportunity to talk about being cross and how everyone feels angry sometimes, without it ever feeling like a lesson.
The story is fun, the illustrations are bright and full of personality, and they kept my little one engaged all the way through. My toddler was pointing at the characters and talking about how they thought Seahorse was feeling, which made the whole experience really interactive. It’s a lovely book that entertains while gently encouraging conversations about emotions, we’ll definitely be reading it again and again.

Seahorse is having a bad day, in a terrible week, in an awful ocean.
He woke up wrong and stubbed his tail and everything is wet!
So don’t tell him funny stories or give him a hug, and DEFINITELY don’t give him his favourite snacks on his special plate…Because Seahorse is furious and there is NOTHING you can do about it. Or is there?
