I liked that the story was about brothers and sisters because I am a big brother now too
Laurie:
I liked this book because the frog was funny. I liked looking at him and the silly things he did—it made me laugh. I also liked that the story was about brothers and sisters because I am a big brother now too.
The pictures were nice and I liked looking at them while we read the story.
Mum:
This is a funny book with lovely pictures. Laurie really enjoyed the frog and found him very amusing, and he liked looking at the illustrations on each page.
It was also nice that the story is about siblings and family, as Laurie has just become a big brother.
I think the main message about the frog being different might be a bit more suited to slightly older children, as Laurie didn’t fully understand that part yet. However, he still really enjoyed the story, and it’s a book he can grow into over time.
About the Book
Bob doesn’t much look like his sisters and brothers.He’s handsome, indeed, but he’s not like the others.
Bob the frog does things a little differently to the rest of his rabbit family.
He looks a bit greener than them, he eats different foods, and his family can’t keep up with his hopping or swimming!
But it doesn’t matter what Bob looks like or does – his family love him just the same!
Family is family, and Bob knows that his family will always be there for him.
