This is a really simple but heart-warming story and beautifully illustrated
Edith really enjoyed Noah’s Seal, she loved that the seal-castle (as she called it) came to life and made Noah’s wish come true.
She’s looking forward to visiting the beach and building a seal now and we talked about the different things she could use for the eyes, skin etc. We also talked about water safety and sea getting rough and becoming dangerous during a storm.
This is a really simple but heart warming story and beautifully illustrated.
I really enjoyed reading this with Edith and the conversation it lead to.
About the Book
This is a lovely picture book for toddlers with a message about having hope and being patient.
Author and illustrator Layn Marlow also includes a little bit of magic making this the perfect summer holiday storybook.
Noah waits all day for Nana’s boat to be ready so that they can go seal spotting. He waits and waits, and eventually takes matters into his own hands, building his very own seal out of sand-it’s almost as good as the real thing. But it isn’t long before a storm whips up, his seal is washed away, and Nana packs up ready to leave. Noah loses all hope that he’ll ever spot a real-life seal, until something special happens…
