Book Review

The pictures were my favourite part - I liked looking at the silly ghosts and bats

Dylan says:

I chose this book because of the ghosts on the cover and I thought it looked funny and spooky. The pictures were my favourite part -I liked looking at the silly ghosts and bats.

It didn’t make me laugh very much. I listened to the story once, but I haven’t asked to read it again. It wasn’t my favourite book, but I did like the pictures.

From Mum and Dad:

Sadly this one was a bit of a miss for us. I gather it’s part of a popular series, but the humour wasn’t really for us. When we read it to Dylan he didn’t really react much, other than to point out some of the illustrations he liked.

He does enjoy slightly spooky imagery and stories so I can see why he was drawn to it, but I think it’s unlikely to be one we read regularly.
