I liked that When they did a play about their adventure to their parents, I don’t think they knew it was actually about their adventure!
This story was fun. I liked the pictures being in black and white so I could pretend the colours looked how I wanted them too.
I really liked it when they saved the human using the wheelbarrow and then when the whale Wally saved them from the shark.

From Mum: Storm enjoyed reading this book all by herself. She has added the others in the series to her Christmas list.
About the Book
Mermaids Rocks is a series of magical stories for emerging readers about the wonders of the ocean.
The Secret Wreck is the sixth book which describes Kai and his friends exploring a shipwreck in the Red Sea. Kai is intrigued by the human artefacts they find there but Coralie is worried about being discovered. Her fears become reality when a group of divers arrive. Will the friends be able to get back to Mermaids Rock without getting caught?

Linda Chapman (born 15 January 1969) is a prolific British children’s author, renowned for her magical series featuring unicorns, mermaids, and friendship. Since 1999 she has written over 300 books — not only under her own name, but also under a variety of pseudonyms including Alex Cliff, Amber Castle, and Lauren Brooke. She lives in Leicestershire with her family, three dogs and ponies, and continues to draw on her love of horses and magic in her storytelling

Mirelle Ortega is a Mexican-born author-illustrator and concept artist for kidlit and animation, now based in Los Angeles. Her debut picture book 'Magic: Once Upon a Faraway Land', inspired by growing up on her family’s pineapple farm, won a 2023 Pura Belpré Illustrator Honor.
