Book Review

I don't think he is scary because he likes hugs and I love hugs too

This was a really good book!

The drawings are really good because I can see how Lionel is feeling.

I liked this story because Lionel is a really nice monster. He is my favourite character.

I don’t think he is scary because he likes hugs and I love hugs too. Hugs make me feel happy and loved. I think that’s how Lionel must have felt when Lucy gave him a great-big-hug. That was my favourite part because he finally made friends and friends are important because they are fun to play with especially at the park. I think Lionel loves going to the park with Milo and Lucy.

When Lionel didn’t have friends he was sad and that made me feel sad too. But now Lionel has got friends and that’s a great way for the story to end.

I think other children will love this book because it’s about friendship and everyone needs to have friends.
