I thought that this book was amazing because I like monsters so much

This is a book about a brave girl called Bo who goes on a quest to catch a monster. On the way she meets a griffin, the kraken and a dragon. She soon realises that some monsters live closer to home!
I thought that this book was amazing because I like monsters so much.
I give it 5 stars.

I shared the story with my class and they loved it! They are all really interested in mythical creatures and monsters so it was right up their street. They also did some fantastic drawings of the characters after the lesson.

About the Book
Meet Bo the Brave. She’s smart, she’s strong, and she’s definitely in charge. Bo’s brothers say she is too little to catch a monster. But Bo has other ideas, so she sets off on a quest to capture herself a beast.
Can she defeat the furious griffin, conquer the hideous kraken and triumph over the monstrous dragon, or at least make friends with them?

Bethan Woollvin is a British children’s author and illustrator known for her bold, graphic style and feminist retellings of fairy tales. She won the Macmillan Prize for Illustration in 2014 for her debut picture book 'Little Red', and later earned the New Talent (Children’s Books) award at the 2017 World Illustration Awards.
