It’s all about sleeping animals and I’m going to sleep too
From her Mum: Edith has loved the pictures in this book and the peep holes with the different animals in them, which we have talked about a lot whilst reading this book. It’s a lovely story, very simple but includes some interesting facts too – even I learnt something !!
I thought the quality of the book and the way the pages are layered is absolutely beautiful and the illustrations are so pretty.
When I asked Edith what she liked about the book she said “it’s all about sleeping animals and I’m going to sleep too.” She liked that cows snooze standing up and that pigs are lazy and sleep too much”.
So she’s obviously taken In a lot of the facts and we had some great conversations around the facts to bulk the story out. I think this book was a little short for Edith because she loves her books and is used to listening to a longer story at the end of the day. But overall it is a beautiful bedtime book which I would recommend for readers 1 – 3 years old.

Possibly the most perfect bedtime story book for babies and really young children.
It is a beautiful robust, high quality board book with chunky pages and cut out windows on each page. The illustrations are clear and bright so the farmyard animals are recognisable. On the last page there is a big shiny moon which I know babies will love touching too.
Learn about each animal as you tiptoe into barns, creep across fields and peep into stables. This beautiful book combines facts and fun, with a gentle rhyming text that’s perfect for bedtime.
Goodnight Farm was written by Becky Davies and illustrated by Carmen Saldaña
