a beautiful, heart-warming story
Edith really enjoyed this book and all the different animals involved in the story. She found it rather funny that they thought they could reach the sky and make the stars appear.
She couldn’t wait to get to the end to find out what they did and if the stars came back.
This was a lovely light hearted book to enjoy at nighttime when curling up to go to bed.
Edith really enjoyed the lovely pictures that worked very well alongside the story and the little surprise on the last page was a lovely ending to a beautiful, heart-warming story.
About the Book
As Fletcher looks up at the night sky, the stars flicker out, one by one.
Soon, instead of a starry sparkle, there is nothing!
Fletcher sets out to help the stars shine again, but as he and Badger race through the winter woods, they find it’s not easy to reach the star and help can come from unexpected places.

Julia Rawlinson
Julia Rawlinson is a British children’s author and poet who writes lyrical picture books and seasonal stories. She is best known for her 'Fletcher’s Four Seasons' series, which celebrates nature, friendship, and gentle wonder.
Drawing on childhood memories of Richmond Park and family rhymes, she lives in Warwickshire with her family and continues to write poetry for both anthologies and educational publishers
Illustrator
Tiphanie Beeke
Tiphanie Beeke is a British-born children’s book illustrator, who earned a master’s degree in Communication & Design from the Royal College of Art. She is best known for illustrating Fletcher’s Four Seasons' series, bringing the forest and its creatures to life with soft, glowing colours and textured, expressive detail. Beeke lives in the south of France, where she balances her illustration work with teaching art and literacy.
