This book is perfect for toddlers who are learning to identify colours and there is lots to talk about in all the pictures
Colours is a beautiful little board book that my daughter Matilda has thoroughly enjoyed reading with me and she has also enjoyed looking through independently.
Each page is about a different colour and has gorgeous illustrations of different things children may see in their day to day lives that are this colour. It also shows how the primary colours mix to make new colours. At the end of the book the is a beautiful pull out page of rainbow which Matilda loves opening and pointing out all the different colours.
This book is perfect for toddlers who are learning to identify colours and there is lots to talk about in all the pictures.
About the Book
It is difficult to imagine a more beautifully illustrated board book that delights in introducing a spectrum of Nature’s colours, from red strawberries to the blue sky.
With bright, joyful art, it is also a fantastic way to show young children how prime colours can be mixed to create new ones.
It ends with a stunning fold-out rainbow to make this a dead cert favourite special book for little ones from one of our favourite Yorkshire-based artists – the wonderful Tim Hopgood:)

Tim Hopgood
Tim Hopgood (born 1961) is a British illustrator and author of children’s picture books, known for titles such as 'Wow! Said the Owl' and' What a Wonderful World'. After studying illustration at Kingston Polytechnic, he spent around two decades working in graphic design and magazine art departments before turning to children’s books, where he quickly gained acclaim — winning the BookTrust Earliest Years Award in 2008 and earning multiple Kate Greenaway Medal nominations
