I thought it would be about Halloween but it's actually about ducks!
This book was not what I expected. I thought it would be about Halloween but it’s actually about ducks!
This is a very funny and silly book and the duck is brilliant, she gets everywhere.The picture of the duck and Colin in the toilet is my favourite and the bath one.
I like the pictures, some of them look smudgy and smoky which is cool.I think Colin liked the ducklings in the end.
This was easy for me to read. I liked it.
About the Book
Colin’s new castle is perfect in every way – apart from the DUCK.
The duck pops up when Colin’s in the bath. When he’s watching telly. When he’s ON THE LOO. QUACK!
But where there’s a will, there’s a way. Colin has a PLAN. Will he succeed in banishing Duck from his castle and leading the bird-free life that he dreams of?

Holly Swain is a British author and illustrator who creates imaginative children’s books filled with fun characters and playful illustrations. She studied Illustration at the University of the West of England in Bristol and later completed an MA at the University of Brighton. Holly is best known for books such as Colin’s Castle and Colin’s Grandma, as well as illustrating many other children’s books.
