We both really enjoyed this book because Ceri and Deri are best friends like us.
The pictures are bright and colourful. We really liked the duck, Dai. He was funny trying all the new things because he wasn’t good at skating.

We are both learning to ride our bikes and like Dai, one day we will both be super fast if we keep trying.
Our mummy says this is a lovely story about doing what we love and spending time with our friends – even if we aren’t great at it to begin with. Never give up.
About the Book
In this picture book story for young children by Max Low Ceri the cat and Deri the dog are best friends who do everything together and love to learn new things.
Dai the Duck is determined to be the best at whatever he’s doing right away – whether that’s skateboarding or spelling, playing rugby or coming up with the next big invention – but Ceri and Deri help Dai learn that having fun with our friends and enjoying the things we love is what matters, even if we have to try and try again!

Max Low is a British children’s book illustrator. He studied illustration at Hereford College of Arts and published his first larger‑format picture book, My Friends, in 2019 — since then his bold, bright, playful style has appeared in many books for young readers.
