He was keen to describe the colours out loud when we read it
Being a huge fan of Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar it was great to have a new caterpillar-based book in our home library!
Dylan loves lifting the flaps up in this book and has found it engaging during our book-time loud when we read it.
This book has been fantastic for him at this time, but I’m sure he will learn lots from it in the coming years too about how caterpillars transform into butterflies.
He loved seeing the butterfly pictures and he was keen to describe the colours out loud when we read it.
It’s got great vocabulary in it and beautiful illustrations.
It’s great to have books on rotation that toddlers can grow with so they last longer!
